PVD COATING

PVD COATING FOR TOOLS AND WORKPIECES

PVD coat application

Part of our reconditioning service is PVD coating. A PVD coating on a resharpened tool restores its initial performance and extends the life cycle. Recoating is necessary to preserve cutting parameters and useful life set for production lines. It also helps increase edge durability, smoothens chip evacuation, and reduces friction and heat. SPECIFICATION:

TiN Coating – universal
Recommended use:

  • for tools with: HSS, HSS-E ,
  • for cutting tools for the machining of non-alloy and alloy steel with a hardness of up to approx. 24 HRC, particularly of steel for carburising ,
  • for punching and stamping ,
  • for punching and stamping.

TiAlN coating – increases the thermal and chemical resistance and stability of cutting edges
Recommended use:

  • for tools made of sintered carbide ,
  • for dry machining, HSC ,
  • for punching and stamping ,
  • for forms with textured surfaces .

AlTiN coating – suitable for high performance cutting (HSC, HPC) and machining hard materials.
Recommended use:

  • for difficult-to-machine materials (titanium alloys, Inconel),
  • for machining hard materials > 52 HRC,
  • for HSC,
  • for HPC.

TiCN coating – with a low coefficient of friction and hardness. It allows you to work in temperatures up to 400°C.
Recommended use:

  • limits adhesion and abrasive processes,
  • for processing non-alloy steel,
  • for processing alloy steel quenched and tempered to a hardness of approx. 28 HRC,
  • for punches and dies for stamping,
  • for injection moulds for plastics.
